GOVT WANTS TO READ CAST & CREDITS IN HINDI

In what seems to underscore a tacit acknowledgment of the reach and importance of Hindi films, the government wants that all Hindi films must also include credit titles using Hindi fonts. From now on, all Hindi films must include credits that can be read by those who know only Hindi. That's a welcome change because though it increases production costs, it is also telling us that the government is waking up to the importance of Hindi films.

We hope the government uses its good offices to apprise the President of India that the government thinks that Hindi films aren't meant to be ignored.
